Diablo 4 Item Upgrades
The upgrade of an item allows players to increase the level of equipped items like trinkets, weapons, and armor over a certain threshold. They can be done at any upgrader NPC using the appropriate currency.

Certain sets have set bonuses that can provide additional effects if Link wears the entire set. Universal upgrades can be installed on any kind of equipment. These upgrades provide smaller rewards than those restricted by type, but are also much more accessible to acquire.
